The Postcard Project

There's a postcard in every apartment at Fritto Misto Comune. Guests write them, keep them, or send them — small, tangible pieces of a stay that outlast the stay itself.

Each one was made by a local artist, commissioned to create something that captured a piece of this place. Six artists, six postcards, printed and given new life in the hands of the people who pass through.

We launched the project with an exhibition here in Fabriano — a fitting way to mark it in a town that's been making paper for nearly 800 years, and one UNESCO recognised as a Creative City for exactly that reason. It felt right to send something out into the world from a place built on the craft of doing so.

Meet the six artists, see their work, and take a postcard home — or better, send one.

An evening with artist Mose Giordani at Fritto Misto Comune, martinis, a shared table, and a conversation on Fabriano, time, and making. His work moves instinctively, shaped by place, process, and the need to create.

A shared love of vintage brought us to Irene Venezia — an illustrator whose work balances softness, humour, and a slightly gothic edge. Over dinner at Casa Renata, we spoke about creativity, Fabriano, and the “no rules” idea that shaped her postcard for the series.

A conversation with artist Iwona Biskupska over dinner at Casa Alberto — on Fabriano, her illustration practice, and the postcard she created for the Fritto Misto Comune Postcard Series.

A conversation with illustrator Alessandra (Ale) Barocci: on returning to creativity, the magic of Fabriano, and the garden at Fritto Misto Comune that inspired her postcard for the series.

Eva Rebecca Borjaille is the first artist in the Fabriano Postcard Series at Fritto Misto Comune. Over dinner, wine, and conversation, she shared the story behind her piece — a reflection on place, conviviality, and the feeling of gathering around a table in Fabriano.

A conversation with Elizabeth Sargeant — on returning to the table, making without a plan, and finding a sense of home in Fabriano through food, process, and shared moments.
